Riding Railkits Inc. is now offering lightweight streamlined cars based on Pullman-Standard prototypes. We're making both smooth-sided and fluted cars to go along with our Budd prototype 1" scale cars.

These additions to the Riding Railkit Inc. product line have aluminum sides with precut window openings and acrylic window glazing. The fluted cars have extruded aluminum fluting. Roofs are fiberglass with cast-in weld beads. Like our Budd cars, these streamliners are strong and safe to ride. They include your choice of trucks - outside like our Budd cars, or our new inside equalized Pullman-Standard style.

We've designed our kits to be easy to assemble. They can be built with hand tools - no mills or lathes required. If you can drill, tap and use a sabre saw, you can build your own lightweight streamliner cars. Each kit comes with complete, step-by-step instructions that lead you through the assembly. All necessary parts are included - trucks, couplers and all the assembly hardware.

With the smooth side cars, you have two options with the fluting to be added to the sides. You can have fluting for the lower sides only, or you can get enough to do fluting along the top of the car as well. They did both types. Of course as you have seen previously, you can go with no fluting at all to look like the more modern cars.

We want to be sure you know that minimum 25 ft radius curves are required for these cars because of their length of 80 inches.
